Introduction
Students will be able to identify the 5 major sense and what part of the body they correlate to. This lesson includes a read aloud and an interactive learning center matching activity.

Sense of Sight
Students will be able to work collaboratively in groups to identify, utilize, and discuss scientific tools. Hand lenses and binoculars will be added to the learning center.

Sense of Smell
Students will be able to work collaboratively in groups to investigate scents and record data from theirs findings. Pocketbooks from Reading A-Z will be added to the learning center.

Students will be able to describe apples using all five of their major sense. Students will be participating in classroom discussion.

Supplementary Lesson
Students will be able to recognize and use key vocabulary through understanding of text read aloud and discussion. This lesson includes introduction to students' science journals.

Students will be able to use true listening skills in a calming listening activity and then briefly discuss and write about what they heard. Pocketbooks from Reading A-Z will be added to the learning center.
