AMANDA JEANE

Amanda Jeane

Brief Bio

I help teachers fall in love with teaching computer science—even the ones who swear they're "not tech people."
As Director of Learning at CodeJoy, I design and lead professional development programs in coding, robotics, and AI literacy. Over the past two years, I've trained more than 1,000 educators nationwide through initiatives funded by Infosys Foundation USA and Iowa's CS PD Incentive Fund—with measurable results that actually move the needle for teachers and students.
My path here wasn't linear. I started as an elementary teacher, fell into robotics and maker education, and discovered I'm just as passionate about program design and project management as I am about working directly with learners. I also volunteer with CSTA at both the Pittsburgh chapter and national levels.
Outside of work, I spend time with my husband, our two dogs, and a small collection of reptiles & insects. I enjoy reading, cooking, tabletop RPGs, and occasionally building robots for fun.
