Brief Bio
As an undergrad student at West Chester University, I participated in a myriad of activities including WCU Incomparable Golden Rams Colorguard, Creative Writing Club, America Reads Program, SPSEA of WCU, and more. I graduated from WCU in December 2015 and was honored to be the student commencement speaker of my graduation ceremony.
Upon graduating, I was a day to day substitute for WCASD and TESD for one month before being hired as the building substitute at Westtown Thornbury Elementary in WCASD. In the summer of 2017 I was hired by Downingtown Area School District as a 4th grade ELA teacher for East Ward Elementary school where I have just finished my second year of teaching. I have been a 4th grade MATH teacher for two years. I am heavily involved in robotics and worked with Birdbrain Technologies to run professional development for teachers in my district and region. In the summer I have worked with Birdbrain Technologies to complete a series of conferences and run robotics camps in our district. I also do Summer Camp with Downingtown Area Education Foundation. Learn more in the Prof Experience Tab. I spend much of my free time with my family. I enjoys reading, writing, cooking, and building robots in my spare time. I am the happy companion of a husband, a snake and a lizard at home. |
